How to lose weight and tenacity of habits

The Tenacity of Habits
I can give a directive to my mind and it will at once react or behave accordingly. Most people who make up their minds to stop smoking or to stop eating so many sweets will continue with those actions in spite of themselves. They do not change
because their minds, like blotting paper, have soaked up habits of thought. Habit means that the mind believes it cannot get rid of a particular thought.
Habit, indeed, is tenacious. Once you perform an action,it leaves an effect or impression on the consciousness. As a result of this influence, you are likely to repeat that action. After several repetitions, that inclination is so strengthened that the action becomes a habit. In some people, just one act is enough to form a habit, because of a latent predisposition from past lives. The mind may tell you that you cannot free yourself from a particular habit; but habits are nothing but repetitions of your own thoughts, and these you have the capacity
to change.


The nature of habit can be understood by this analogy: Clay can be molded into a vase; and while the clay is still soft it is easy to change the form of that vase again and again. But once it is fired in an oven, its shape becomes firmly set. So it is with your consciousness. Your thoughts are molding your actions, and your mental convictions from the repetition of those actions is the fire that hardens the thoughts into unyielding habit patterns.
Why are the faces of all of you different? Because your minds are different. Your habit patterns of thoughts have molded not only your mind but also your body. You have probably noticed that some thin people might eat five meals a day and yet
never gain weight. And some heavy people may eat very little and yet become heavier. Why? The former, sometime in a past life, established the thought in their consciousness that they were thin, and in this life they brought that thought and
tendency with them. No matter what they do, they never grow fat. It is the same with obese persons. In past lives, they left this world with the consciousness of being fat, and they brought the seed of that thought into their present existence.
The whole physiology of the body responds to these karmic seed tendencies. If you want to change your constitution, then you have to say, "It is I who thought myself into being thin (or heavy or sickly). Now I will myself to be robust (or whatever
you so desire)." If you get rid of the thought that has made you other than you want to be, you will see the body change. I can maintain my weight, or as easily be thin at will.
My trouble as a youth was that I was too thin. Master [Swami Sri Yukteswar] cured me of that consciousness, so ever since I have preferred to be heavier.

What is Love?

Love...one of the most common word in the world, but not as much common in people's hearts.
Love , as True Love can not be confounded with infatuation. Love is only one, simple, just LOVE.

I am sure many of you saw and heard the words  "some love", or  "warm love"... can you imagine just "some love" not entire Love? Or can Love be cold, or warm?  Is Love limited?

Love is a sacred mystery. To those who love, it remains forever wordless...
Love is the essence of every fiber of ourselves that we give to others unconditionally...



In the lines below i am trying to offer you some of the most wonderful examples on what Love, True Love means.

In one of the schoolrooms of a school there were several children. One of them asked:  "Teacher, WHAT IS LOVE ?"

The teacher felt that the little one deserved an answer that would be up to the intelligent question she had formulated.
Since they were already in recess time, she asked her students that they went around the school patio and brought with them what more awaken in them the feeling of love
The children rushed out and, when returned, the teacher told them:  "I want each one of you to show me WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU..."

The first student answered: "I brought this flower, isn't it pretty?"

When his turn came, the second student said," I brought this butterfly. See the color of her wings; I am going to place it in my collection."

The third student added:  " I brought this little pigeon that fell from the nest."

And so on the little ones, one by one, were placing on the table what they had picked up from the patio...an so on...

After finished the exposition, the teacher noticed that one of the girls had brought nothing, and remained quite all the time. She was feeling ashamed because she had not brought anything. The teacher turned to her and asked her:  " Very well, and you? Have you gotten anything?"
The little one, timidly, answered:  " Excuse me, teacher. I saw a flower and felt its perfume; I thought to pull it up but preferred to leave it so it would give off its aroma for more time. I saw the butterfly, soft, colorful, but it looked so happy that I did not have the courage to imprison it. I also saw the little fallen pigeon among the leaves, but ... when climbing the tree, I noticed the sad look of his mother and preferred to return it to the nest. Therefore, teacher, I bring with me the flower perfume, the sensation of freedom of the butterfly and the gratitude I observed in the eyes of the birdie's mother. How can I show you what I brought?"



The teacher thanked the student and gave her the highest grade, considering that she had been the only one who was able to perceive that we "can only bring love in the heart."

I hope you had a peaceful Christmas time filled with Love and Light. In this sacred peace you might meditate or found answers within.
I had some wonderful meditation in which i really felt talking to God, i felt so deeply my Divine nature.

I decided to open my heart and share Love. No doubts, no sorrows for sharing Love. Unconditionally. No maters if i receive back Love.

Still one of my Facebook friends, Sanjay, tagged me in a post, with fondest love. I know Sanjay and i really can feel his love behind words. Pure, unconditional Love. Maybe not many can understand this Love...we never met still we share love, as good friends.

God : Hello. Did you call me?
Me: Called you? No.....who is this?
God : This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.
God : What are you busy at?
Me: Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

God : Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this next era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
God : Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.
Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.....
God : Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God : Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes better not bitter.
Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?
God : Yes. In all terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why cant we be free from problems?
God : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading
God : If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God : Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God : Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Me: What surprises you about people?
God : When they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me". Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here? I cant get the answer.
God : Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it.
Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Me: How can I get the best out of life?
God : Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence.Prepare for the future without fear.

Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God : There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.
Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I now have a new sense of inspiration.
God : Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

Now just pick up a paper and pen and write what you think is correct and good.
I know you are a good soul."

The Right Time

Understanding Time, The Right Time is a lesson we all have to learn.
In astrology planet Saturn is the Lord of Time and Karma. Saturn is a great teacher, if we understand him and learn his lessons. Saturn never denies, only delays.

As Saturn rebuilds our egos, regardless of which area of life he is in we will walk away better individuals with a few scares left behind. The battles scares will be a reminder of a bitter lesson well earned. The more we let go of our ego the easier this lesson will be. Karmic Relationships: Finding the Balance Within

We are given what we need to grow and to evolve in each life time. Some people we meet and interact during one life time might have a bigger or lesser impact on us, in both ways.

All the different types of relationships give us the opportunity for personal development.

The suggestion of Karma in a relationship is not a pleasurable thought, no matter how it is manifesting in one's life; but powerful relationships, whether good or bad, almost certainly have a Karmic underlay to them.

In a Karmic relationship, the lessons that we have to learn from each other can be as varied as life itself. One may be certain however, that the lesson will be deep, personal and will demand inner strength.

When we experience the Karma involved in a relationship, we tend to find ourselves feeling without control over the circumstances and events, and at a loss of how to act and react to those situations. It is our belief, that while all Soulmate connections are Karmic, but not all Karmic relationships involve Soulmates.

As a general rule, the Karmic model is only completely understood with clarity, AFTER the lesson is learned. Karmic relationships are valuable gifts that can facilitate us on our spiritual journey. This can only occur however, if we're ready to let go of the Ego.

So don't dread that all Karmic love relationships have to be demanding and complicated. As we choose to be more mindful, we can transform negative patterns by choosing more conscious and loving behaviors.

We can convert Karma into Dharma though the alchemy of our desires into our Intentions.
